Dune: Part Three Denis Villeneuve Returns to Arrakis

Denis Villeneuve closes out (or at least pauses) his Dune trilogy with an adaptation of Dune Messiah, the darker, more politically barbed follow-up to the first novel. Timothée Chalamet returns as a hardened Emperor Paul Atreides, with Zendaya's Chani taking on a far more central role and Robert Pattinson joining the ensemble.

Releasing on the exact same day as Avengers: Doomsday is either a spectacular game of chicken or a sign one title will blink, but for audiences it's a gift: two of the year's biggest films going head-to-head at the height of awards season. This is the prestige sci-fi event of 2026.
